Ways with which you can resolve this error are mentioned below; If this error pops up because of profile corruption, than creating a new account can will fix this error for you. For that first located your corrupted account and create new outlook profile. Following steps will help you to resolve your problem in MS Outlook 2013: Step 1- Locate the default Outlook data file 1. Go to your Control Panel. 2. Then click on Mail. 3. New dialog box will appear as “Mail setup-Outlook”, click on Show Profile.
4. Select your current outlook profile and click on properties. 5. Again “Mail setup-Outlook” dialog box will pop up, now click on “Data Files” 6. Dialog box named as “Account Settings” will open, than click on “Data files” and note down the name and location of your current account. Tick mark will denote your
default data file. 7. Now close it and exit. Step 2- Create a new Outlook profile There are two methods with which you can create new outlook profile. ● Auto account setup. ● Manually create account. Method 1: Auto-setup to create IMAP or POP3 email account. a. Go to Control Panel.
b. Similarly go to “Mail setup-Outlook”, click on Show Profile. c. In Mail dialog box, select your profile and than click on Add. d. Enter your new profile name in New profile dialog box and click OK. e. New account dialog box will pop up, enter your email account details, and then click Next
f. When your account configuration is complete, click finish. Method 2: Manually creating IMAP or POP3 email account. a. Go to Control Panel. b. Similarly go to “Mail setup-Outlook”, click on Show Profile.
c. In general tab , In Mail box select, click Add. d. A New project dialog box will open, enter your new profile name, and click OK
e. New Account dialog box will pop up, select Manually configure server settings or additional server types, after that click next. f. Select Internet E-mail, in choose service dialog box, then click next. g. Type your account details in Internet E-mail Settings dialog box h. Then click on Test Account Settings to test your account.
i. Select Existing Outlook Data File, and then click Browse. j. New dialog box as “Open Outlook Data File” will pop up and select the Outlook data file which you previously located. Click Ok k. Then click next, then close and then finish Step 3- Configure your new outlook profile as the default profile. Control panel>Mail>Mail Setup – Outlook>select always use this profile> Click the drop-down>select the new profile> OK>close.
