Grants.gov Highlights • Can perform Opportunity search directly through KRA • System reads the Opportunity schema to know what data elements & forms are required • Data validation is performed prior to submission • Electronic submission to Grants.gov (S2S) • .XML images of Grants.gov forms are created • Application status details are transmitted back to KRA after submission
Data Validation Highlights • Data is validated at three levels: • Hard errors that prevent submission into routing • Hard errors that prevent submission into Grants.gov (when applicable) • Soft warning errors that alert users to possible problems, but do not prevent submission • System will display messages and can redirect the user back to the location of the invalid data element
Enhancements Requests • Ability for Key Persons to “opt in” for Credit Split & Certification Questions • Grants.gov Resubmissions • allows multiple proposal “versions” to be linked together • Sponsor Statuses • such as pending, funded, rejected, etc. • provides additional data elements for reporting
Quality Assurance PeriodSystem Testing • Quality Assurance period officially began on April 1, 2008 • Majority of testing efforts focus on the Budget portion • Over 50 scenarios created to test functionality • Test cases developed • Authorization • Approval Workflow • Budget calculations • Grants.gov System to System (S2S) • Performance Testing
