  1. 5 Tips for Finding Good Wholesalers Market and product research Before you set out to find a wholesaler for a particular product, I would always advise people to re- evaluate their choice of product. I'm sure you'll agree that if you want to spend countless hours researching suppliers of a particular product, you need to find out if you intend to sell that product or market place. So, before you start looking for a wholesaler, make sure that you have chosen a viable product and that there are many markets for ease of sale. Product Choice Your search for wholesale products will depend on what product you are looking for at a wholesale price. Choosing the most competitive product (iPod, games consoles, etc.) will definitely cost you time and potential money before you find a reliable supplier. So, before you decide to go out and look for a wholesaler, think carefully about the product you are looking for and you will reap the rewards. Think outside the box, think away from competitive markets, think oddly! Find good sources of supply Finding a good wholesale supplier is not an easy task, especially for some products. Spending a few hours on the major search engines may bring some good opportunities but don't waste the power of a good wholesale directory. One thing you will soon learn in the wholesale business is that you have no shortage of people claiming to be qualified to offer wholesalers. The market is currently smaller than directories, sourcing agents, and websites that promise low prices and easy monetization opportunities. Try and avoid paying suppliers unless you're really stumped by opportunities. (Even so, paid services may not offer you anything practical.) Browsing such free directories, wholesale market websites, wholesale forums, and of course search engine wholesalers is often a very rich way to choose.

  2. Remember, product selection is often the key to finding profitable opportunities! Patience Patience is a virtue when it comes to finding suppliers. In general, if you put in the work, you definitely reap the rewards. To some extent I would agree with this statement, but when looking for suppliers it is about how long you wait. Instant search engine input or forum / directory swaps can often lead you to a decent wholesaler in minutes. Searching through your local paper or trader magazine can also lead you to online and offline suppliers. In my experience, these are often people who are looking for unrealistic prices, just looking for the source of the wholesale product. A little confidence I often get emails from tired people saying they have nowhere to look for a wholesale supplier. I know I keep saying that but I don't apologize for that. Product is the key! - I'm inclined to tell you to forget about the most popular products and focus on something less competitive. Sure, making money in these areas but your chances of success when you're a small business are not behind anyone, after all, who wants to work for a 1-5% return on their investment?
