Recommendations The Fault In Our Stars is highly recommended for young adults because of the relationships that are formed and the everyday challenges teenagers have to face in life. It is very inspiring and has a quality about it that not many books have.
“Okay? Okay.” The Fault In Our Stars tells of a young girl named Hazel Lancaster, who has been diagnosed with lung cancer. Thinking Hazel needs support, her parents force her to attend a local cancer support group. When Hazel attends one of the meeting, there is a boy who catches her eye. This boy goes by the name of Augustus Waters. As their relationship grows stronger, Hazel and Augustus begin spending a great number of time together. Both Hazel and Augustus become intrigued in a book called, “The Imperial Affliction”. This book becomes a topic of many conversations because of the unknown ending. Knowing Peter Van Houten is Hazel’s favorite authors, Augustus plans a trip for them to travel to Amsterdam to meet Peter Van Houten. Although the visit doesn’t go quite as expected, Augustus and Hazel make the most of it. After they return from their trip, Hazel and Augustus’s relationship faces a great challenge. Will the relationship they have developed be enough to overcome this challenge?
