AQUATEST a.s. TECHNICAL SUPPORT DIVISION - 70
Modular units for mine water disposal A set of technical equipment designed for mine water disposal is conceived as modular and enables high technological and partially also capacity flexibility. It includes basic operations – performing chemical reactions (acid base, precipitation, oxidation, and reduction), separation of solid body and additional treatment of purified mine water.
Běstvina In practice, these modular units have been tested in the former fluorspar mine at Běstvina village
Module 1 – preparing chemicalsThe module includes technical equipment for preparation of water suspensions, chemical solutions, and other auxiliary substances for use in other modular units. Module 2 – Chemical operations The module is designed for performing all reactions in liquid stage, notably for mine water neutralisation, iron oxidation, reduction, chemical precipitation of individual contaminants, etc.Overall views of reaction tanks arrangement. Crude water inlet to this module with flow regulation and measuring Distribution system of module 2 with built-in pH meters that control frequency converters of dosing pumps of module 1
Module 3 – separation of phases This module includes a set of regular process equipment to separate solids from the solution by sedimentation and filtration. Filtration equipment is part of the module. From this tank (sludge tank), filtration is carried out through a sludge press under the pressure up to 10 bar. View of the filtrate and sludge tank. Down to the left is a pump that pumps water to dispatch tank through control valve. View of the screw pump and distribution box with built-in frequency converter, which depending on the pressure controls the screw pump continuouslyduring filtration to fill the sludge press evenly.
Module 4 – auxiliary operations Module 4 is conceived as an auxiliary unit for modules 1 – 3. It includes pumping technology, storage and interoperation capacities, set of flexible connections, etc. Top view of the from the tube setter where gravitational separation of solid base takes place.
