Mapping Internet Access into My Home By Chris Johnson From ISP Motorola Surfboard Cable Modem Coaxial to ethernet interface Coaxial Cable Ethernet Cable About my connection: My connection to the internet is provided by cable internet service from a local vendor. The highest download speed I typically enjoy is during non-peak times, and tops out around 10mbps. My max upload speed is generally around 1.5mpbs. My internet connection arrives on a separate link from my cable TV service, so most of the time, with only one device (either my laptop or desktop) connected to my home network, I don’t have to worry about bandwidth sharing issues.
