ARIN 2000 - Course Overview • ARIN 2000 - objectives • This Unit of Study will introduce students to a variety of research methodologies used in Information Systems, the Humanities and Social Sciences. • Students will be introduced to key research frameworks and paradigms. • Students will learn key quantitative and qualitative research techniques including: participative methods, surveys, focus groups, action research, content analysis, experiments and case studies. • Students will learn to critically analyse and interpret data and evidence.
ARIN 2000 - Research Areas • Information Systems • General topics relevant to living in the Information Age • Your own area of interest from your Arts major • The Humanities and Social Sciences
ARIN 2000 - Course delivery • 2 hour lecture • The structure of the 2 hour lecture will vary, sometimes the second hour will be used in a more interactive way • 1 hour tutorial • tutorials start Week 2 • attendance at tutorials and participation in activities is compulsory
