Kingston Vista Memory Recommendations • Microsoft minimum memory recommendations: • 512 MB for “Vista Capable” • 1 GB for “Vista Premium Ready” systems • Kingston recommends: • 2 GB of memory as practical minimum • Installing in Matched Pairs for Best Performance * Memory Support: 32-bit Vista versions – up to 4GB; 64-bit Vista Home Basic – up to 8GB; 64-bit Vista Home Premium – up to 16GB; 64-bit Ultimate – up to 128GB. Maximum system memory also depends on the total number of memory sockets and maximum memory module capacity (using 2GB modules, 4-socket desktops will support up to 8GB of memory and 2-socket notebooks up to 4GB of memory). Up to 128GB for 64-bit Vista Ultimate. System configuration may also limit total memory capacity.

Provides virtual memory on a USB Flash drive instead of a hard drive for small files that overflow from system memory pool. ReadyBoost • Kingston is already shipping DataTraveler ReadyFlash (DTR) drives to support ReadyBoost. ReadyBoost is primarily for systems that cannot be updated with memory. • Kingston recommends memory upgrades as first option if possible.

I lost the Key?!?!? - If used in corporate server managed environment, “key” can be reset by administrator - If used at home you’re out of luck if you don’t have a duplicate key! Except for DTEP and DTSP, all Kingston DataTraveler drives support BitLocker.
