1. Spirit of Sydney Expeditions Pty Ltd is pleased to present the yacht Paratii-2 Paratii 2 the 96ft aero-rig schooner was conceived and built by brazilian adventurer Amyr Klink, and since her launch in 2001 has proven herself on many voyages to South Georgia and the Antarctic peninsula as well as successfully completing the first and only non-stop circumnavigation under sail of the antarctic continent from Port Lockroy and return.
3. 2009-2010 austral summer- Antarctic Peninsula South Georgia Paratii 2 will be available for charter from September 2009 out of Ushuaia or Port Stanley and itineraries can be designed for a variety of needs.... Tourism, photograpy, film crews, mountaineering, kayaking, diving, science, remote areas like Margeurite Bay or Weddell Sea.
Vital statistics:
28.6m LOA, 8.5m beam, 1.5m draught (centreboard and rudder up), 450 sq m sail. 33 tonnes fuel, twin Mercedes 350hp, twin 8 KVA generators, 150l /hr water maker, 220v, 110V power, 2 x 7kg washer/dryer machines
2 x 5.5m zodiacs with diesel outboards.
12 guests, 4 crew + possible expedition leader
6 double guest cabins, wired with internet access and power supply to each cabin, 3 bathrooms, large galley and saloon area, lounge area with entertainment system, separate pilot house , heated throughout .
Large stern platform and 36 sq m heated garage
Dive compressor, tanks, easy access to water and hot showers.

Small group expeditions. long range. remote areas. specialty itineraries Paratii-2 offers small group boutique tourism with just 12 guests and a reasonable level of comfort and space not normally associated with yachts. 5. Paratii-2 is presently being refitted to include 7 cabins ,3 bathrooms and a new lounge entertainment area.
6. Garage area looking out to stern platform. The garage is heated and includes a bathroom, laundry area and large freezer space. Dive gear, scientific equipment and laboratories may be stored in the garage. Cargo may also be carried for example re-provisioning a research station or transporting building materials.
7. Paratii-2 is equipped with twin 100ft aero-rig masts which allow very easy handling under sail, so that she actually sails for a high proportion of her miles covered and when under motor her twin Mercedes Benz 350 hp motors run exclusively on Bio-fuel. She circumnavigated Antarctica from Port Lockroy to Port Lockroy and consumed only 400litres of bio-fuel, mostly for heating. Guests and charterers may feel satisfied that they are visiting wild and beautiful places with a very low carbon emission from their travels.
8. Exhilarating sailing on a fast stable yacht. Paratii-2 rarely heels beyond 15 degrees due to the design of her hull.
9. Paratii-2 is an extremely capable long range remote area small expedition ship that has the added bonus of a very low carbon footprint.
10. Paratii-2 is available for charter in other interesting and exotic locations during the austral winter.
