  1. The Ecological situation in Balakovo

  2. The aim of the presentation is the research of the ecological situation of our town Balakovo in Saratov region. To realize it some excursions about the town and to the bank of the Volga river were made. Some local newspapers were looked through , such as “Sut”, “Crug”, “Vesty of Balakovo” etc.Here are our results:

  3. There are three huge chemical plants in our town. They produce rubber goods, chemical fertilizers and spares. As a result, the concentration of air pollution is 12 times over the admissible level.

  4. There are three power stations in our town. Pollutions of our nuclear power station cannot be seen but it cаn be awful

  5. Industrial and communal wastes poison the water in the Volga river. So the water in it isn’t blue but brown with much rubbish floating in itWhat shall we eat soon?

  6. Every year a lot of trees are cut, the nearest woods are burnt in the fire because of picnickers who throw down inputting cigarettes or leave camp fires

  7. Why do the citizens of our town allow themselves to leave their rubbish everywhere? We can see it in the parks and in the squares, in the banks of the river and in the centre, just near the administration of the town

  8. Nobody can guarantee the products grown in the gardens and fields are safe, as plants near them have been always polluting the atmosphere: vegetables and fruit absorb the smog.

  9. If we don’t solve the ecological problems soon the most fashion clothes will look like this

  10. Or maybe a human being will become a mutant and will look like this one

  11. What can we do to help the ecology of our town?It’s not very difficult! We should do simply the following:

  12. To demand our local government to make plants and factories set good filters

  13. To save gas, water, energy and other natural resources

  14. To keep our town and countryside clean

  15. Do you think it is a snowman? No, it isn’t! You are mistaken! Do you think it is a scarecrow? No, it isn’t! You are mistaken! If you look into the future, If you think of our nature You will see a man – a mutant! Maybe he will look like this: He will have a big red nose, Little hands and eyes like those Black coal bits and first of all With a figure, like a ball. Why will he look like a snowman? Why mutation threatens us? We pollute the atmosphere And breathe in the dirty air. • To propagandize careful attitude to nature

  16. Grown-ups! Girls want to be pretty! Boys are eager to be handsome! Don’t pollute the atmosphere! The habitat should be saved clear! Then you’ll see the girl’s beauty Thick and shining fair hair, Slender figure and thin waist Long fine feet and what else? Healthy body, sparks in eyes, Love to people, land and sky. If protect the Earth and nature Long will live young generation.

  17. The quicker we correct the situation the more healthy the next generation will be.
