This interregional project focuses on enhancing capacities to eradicate violence against women in the ECA region. The main activities include conducting national and regional studies, testing a short module on VAW and core-set of indicators, and organizing a technical workshop on the measurement of physical and sexual violence. In 2011, the project was conducted in Uganda and South Africa, with a possible inclusion of Senegal. Five national studies have been completed, with Tunisia and Cameroon's final edition and Botswana, Senegal, and Uganda's studies in preparation. Additionally, a regional study was conducted in 2011. The technical workshop will take place in Addis Ababa in the first semester of 2011.
