Structure of each test ACT English: 75 questions, 45 min Math: 60 questions, 60 min Reading: 40 questions, 35 min Science: 40 questions, 35 min Writing (Optional): 1 prompt, 40 min • SAT • Reading: 52 questions, 65 minutes • Writing and Language: 44 questions, 35 minutes • Math: no calculator—20 questions, 25 min; with calculator—38 questions, 55 min • Essay (Optional): 1 prompt, 50 min • Give in April to every 11th grade student

We will sign students up for the State SAT test in April.

  11. SAT Subject tests www.collegeboard.org for list of schools The BasicsThere are 20 SAT Subject Tests: areas: English, history, languages, mathematics and science. Each Subject Test is an hour long. They are all multiple-choice and scored on a 200–800 scale.Subject Tests test you on your knowledge of subjects on a high school level. The best way to prepare is to take the relevant courses and work hard in them.When, Where, and How- 6 times a year- Check to see when your test is offered- You cannot take the SAT and Subject tests on the same day

Senior Year: 1st Semester • Follow up on requests for letters of recommendation • Add list of schools you are applying to on Naviance • Apply on-line (schools web-site or common application) • Request transcripts and counselor letter of recommendation (2 weeks notice) • Testing – make a follow up testing plan with your counselor / send test scores to colleges • Finalize Essay • Finalize applications
