TV News Broadcast • Tomorrow in class we will watch a 30 minute news show from one our local news channels. • We will look for certain attributes that goes in to putting on a good broadcast. • If you can tonight, watch one or jump around the different stations and see how their shows are similar and how they differ.

  14. THE INTRO • A video short taking the form of a short film, music video, a parody, an experimental video, theme, or an introductory News Team introductory piece. • Parody - Napoleon Dynamite • News Team - Anchorman • Experimental - Stop Motion • Theme - Valentines Day

  15. Reporting the News to RC • Inform about school events, groups, and individuals in a positive way. • Use humor and creative writing of the news scripts to hold the audiences attention. • Clear, professional, and informative

  16. PSAs • Public Service Announcements promoting an idea, activity, group, or individual • Clubs, Sports, Blood Drive, Wish Week, Homecoming, Fashion Show, etc.

  17. Narratives • Using your written expression on a topic or event that you can build from with video, graphics, text, sound effects, and music around your voice over.

  18. Quick Hitters • A short video clip that may not be relevant but may be humorous or attention grabbing to bring the audience back in. • Shakespearean Reflections with Stefan, Awkward Moments with Ivy, Intimate Moments with Nick Rush
