History about Little Rock Central High School • The school was hailed the most expensive, most beautiful, and largest high school in the nation. • There was historical events that changed education at this school. • 9 African-American students, other known as the Little Rock Nine. • Governor Orval Faubus • President Dwight D. Eisenhower • Little Rock police to remove the students • Students tried to go in the school. • Could not go in school and removed by the police • As they walked out, there was a riot of white students saying cruel things • The next day , President Eisenhower had a battle group who escorted the nine students. • Little Rock, ArkansasI n the year of 1957, during the Brown vs Board of Education.
