WP 1 - Co-ordination and management • UP TO NOW all expected deliverable has been produced and send to the Commission. • Two positive feedback by the Commission concerning the QUOVADIS progress • letter From Commission related to the period 01/01/2005 - 30/06/2005 • letter From Commission related to the period 01/07/2005 - 31/12/2005 • Problem for the publication of the final version of the TSs to be validated will be charge on the QUOVADIS web site
WP 1 - Co-ordination and management • The second amendment necessary following the transfer of the QUOVADIS Project from CESI to CESI RICERCA in being active • Some word about CESI RICERCA • Relevant document published on the website for ASC to give indication about the work done • All the TS to be validated will be soon charge on the QUOVADIS web site

WP 8 - Data CollectionActivity done by CENERG • CENERG analysed the documents related to waste management in Poland: • Data from the Main Statistic Office for the year 2006, • Publication from the Ministry of Environment, • Energy Market Agency (ARE SA). • According to this documents CENERG started update data on waste generation, management and market potential for solid recovery fuels in Poland. • Collected synthetic information on waste production and consumption during last decade from 1990-2004, to present simplified balance of waste energy use.
WP 8 - Data CollectionActivity done by CENERG Many contacts with Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, Baltic area (Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia), Bulgaria, Hungary and Romania to try to update the data already collected. Contact with Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) incineration plant located in Warsaw. In the MSW plant the municipal waste are segregated, than they are partly recycled, composted or combusted. The energetic fraction is combusted with moving grate boiler. Flue gasses are completely combusted with the support of gas or oil. The incineration capacity amounts to 50 000 tonnes per year, ca. 150 tonnes per day. The available incineration capacity amounts to ca. 260 000 tonnes per year.
WP 9 - Dissemination • Organisation of the dissemination events that results in the schedule given at the QUOVADIS web site • The second dissemination meeting and Workshop: • “Waste Management and Solid Recovered Fuels Potential • in the Enlarged European Union • Larnaca (Cyprus), June 22-23, 2006” • Proceeding are in progress and will be published on the QUOVADIS website

Establishing CESI RICERCA • Since January 1st, 2006, transfer of the “research” branch of CESI to the the new company • Four hundred technicians and researchers and their main laboratories • Mission: public interest research for the electrical system • Focus: applied experimental research • Shareholders: mainly public operators (ENEA 51 % of the stock) and other public sectors research Institutes (in the near future)
