  3. Today Let us contemplate the Luminous Mysteries of the Scriptural Holy Rosary In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen

The Apostles Creed I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; He descended into hell; on the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty; from there He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen

  8. 2. Jesus also came from Galilee to be baptized by John. Hail Mary… 3. John tried to refuse and said, “ You come to me, I should be baptized by You.” Hail Mary…. 4. Jesus replied, “Give in for now, we must do this to fulfill all God’s demands.” Hail Mary….

  9. 5. So John gave in and Jesus came out of the water and was praying. Hail Mary… 6. Suddenly the sky opened and the Spirit descended like a dove. Hail Mary…. 7. A voice from heaven said, “This is My beloved Son, My favour rests on Jesus.” Hail Mary….

  10. 8. Jesus was led out into the desert by the Spirit to be tempted by the devil. .Hail Mary… 9. He fasted for 40 days and 40 nights and afterwards, Jesus was hungry. Hail Mary…. 10. The devil said to Jesus, “If You are the Son of God, command these stones to become bread.” Jesus replied, “Man does not live on bread alone but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.” Hail Mary….

  12. The Second Luminous Mystery Wedding Feast of Cana Spiritual fruit: Devotion to Mary. Intention: For families and prayer in families and for our personal intentions. Our Father…. 1. There was a wedding feast at Cana of Galilee and the Mother of Jesus was there. Hail Mary….

  13. 2. Jesus and His disciples had also been invited. Hail Mary…. 3. The wine ran out and Jesus’ Mother told Jesus, “They have no wine.” Hail Mary…. 4. Jesus said to His Mother, “How does that concern of yours involve Me? My hour has not yet come.” Hail Mary….

  14. 5. Mary told the waiters, “Do whatever Jesus tells you.” Hail Mary…. 6. There were some water jars, each holding 20-30 Liters, used for prescribed Jewish ceremonial washing. Hail Mary…. 7. Jesus ordered, “Fill those jars with water.” and the waiters filled the jars to the brim. Then Jesus said, “And now pour some out and take it to the waiter in charge.” Hail Mary….

  15. 8. The waiter in charge tasted the water made into wine without knowing where it came from. Hail Mary…. 9. The waiter said to the groom, “People usually serve the best wine first, but you have kept the best wine ‘till now.” Hail Mary…. 10. Jesus performed the first of His signs at Cana of Galilee. Thus Jesus revealed His glory and His disciples believed in Jesus. Hail Mary….

  17. The Third Luminous Mystery Proclamation of the Kingdom of God • Spiritual fruit: Forgiveness and trust in God. • Intention: For the conversion of all people and for our personal intentions. • Our Father…. • Jesus appeared in Galilee proclaiming the good news of God. • Hail Mary….

  18. 2. Jesus said to the people, “The reign of God is at hand. Reform your lives and believe in the gospel.” Hail Mary…. 3. To the paralyzed man Jesus said, “Son, your sins are forgiven.” Hail Mary…. 4. Jesus continued, “Blessed are the poor in spirit; theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.” Hail Mary….

  19. 5. Jesus further said, “Blessed are the meek; they possess the earth.” Hail Mary…. 6. Jesus said, “Blessed are those who mourn; they shall be comforted.” Hail Mary…. 7. Jesus added, “Blessed are the merciful; mercy shall be theirs.” Hail Mary….

  20. 8. Jesus further added, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for holiness; they shall be satisfied.” Hail Mary…. 9. Jesus continued, “Blessed are the pure in heart; they shall see God.” Hail Mary…. 10. Jesus said, “Blessed are the peacemakers; they shall be called children of God.” Hail Mary….

  22. The Fourth Luminous Mystery The Transfiguration • Spiritual fruit: Desire for holiness. • Intention: For all non-believers and for our personal intentions. • Our Father…. • Jesus took Peter, James and John up onto the mountain to pray. • Hail Mary….

  23. 2. While Jesus was praying, His face changed in appearance. His clothes became dazzling white. Hail Mary…. 3. Suddenly two men appeared and were talking with Jesus. They were Moses and Elijah. Hail Mary…. 4. Moses and Elijah appeared with Jesus in glory and spoke of Jesus’ passage, which Jesus was to fulfill in Jerusalem. Hail Mary….

  24. 5. Peter and the others had fallen asleep. They awakened and saw Jesus’ glory and the men talking with Him. Hail Mary…. 6. Peter said, “How good it is for us to be here. Let us set up three booths, one for Jesus, one for Moses and one for Elijah. Hail Mary…. 7. While Peter was speaking, a cloud came and overshadowed them and the apostles were afraid. Hail Mary….

  25. 8. From the cloud a Voice came, “This is My Son, the Chosen One, listen to Him.” Hail Mary…. 9. When the Voice fell silent, Jesus was there alone. Hail Mary…. 10. As Jesus, Peter, James and John came down from the mountain, Jesus told Peter, James and John strictly not to tell anyone until the Son of Man had risen from the dead. Hail Mary….

The Fifth Luminous Mystery Institution of the Holy Eucharist • Spiritual fruit: Love and Thanksgiving to our Eucharistic Lord. • Intention: For priests and religious vocations and for our personal intentions. • Our Father….. • Before the feast of Passover, Jesus realized that His hour had come for Him to pass from this world to the Father. • Hail Mary….

  28. 2. He had loved His family and friends in this world and Jesus would show His love for them to the end. Hail Mary…. 3. Jesus was fully aware that he had come from God and was going to God; Jesus rose from the meal and took off His cloak. Hail Mary…. 4. Jesus took a towel and tied it around Himself. Hail Mary….

  29. 5. Then Jesus poured water into a basin and began to wash the feet of His disciples and dry them with the towel. Hail Mary…. 6. Peter said, “Lord are You going to wash my feet?” Hail Mary…. 7. Jesus replied, “You may not realize what I am doing now, but you will understand later.” Hail Mary….

  30. 8. Jesus explained, “What I just did was to give you an example. If I who am teacher and Lord washed your feet, then you must wash each other’s feet.” Hail Mary…. 9. Then taking bread Jesus gave thanks, broke it and gave it to them saying, “This is my Body which will be given up for you.” Hail Mary…. 10. Then taking the cup of wine Jesus said, “This is my blood which will be shed for you and for all, for the remission of sins.” Hail Mary….

Hail Holy Queen Hail Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness and our hope, to thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve; to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears; turn, then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy towards us, and after this, our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary. Pray for us, O holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. Amen.

  34. Jesus and Mary, I give myself entirely to You.With confidence and trust, I place in both your hearts my life, my heart and my whole being freely. Therefore, Jesus and Mary, as I belong to you, keep and guard me in your loving hearts. Amen
