  5. Animal Traits • Peacocks haves colorful feathers and the colors on the feathers are white, brown, orange, blue, green, and purple. • Male peacocks haves more colors than female peacocks.

  6. Diet • Peacocks eat seeds, worms, insects, and nuts. • A peacock is an omnivore. • Peacocks get food from the ground.

  7. Protection • Peacocks stay in large groups to stay safe. Peacocks sleep in high trees so they can stay safe. • Peacocks yell if predators are near.

  8. Special Features • Male peacocks grow big and they can grow as big as 8 feet.

  9. Cool Fact • Peacocks can walk and can feed themselves only after two days. • Most peacocks can live until 20 years. • Some peacocks can live until 50 years .

  10. Amazing Fact • Female peacocks lay five or six eggs. Peachicks are born in 28 to 30 days. The baby peacocks get out of their eggs.
