  2. About Japanese Creations Japanese Creations is a comprehensive Japanese traditional Arts and Crafts learning brand for the U.S. market.

  3. About Japanese Creations Currently, we offer three different categories under the brand; Chigiri-e, Etegami, Chirimen.

  4. Chigiri-e/ちぎり絵 Chigiri-e is a Japanese-style paper collage created using hand-dyed Washi paper.

  5. Chigiri-e/ちぎり絵 By tearing the paper, you can create an artwork like a water color paintings.

  6. Chirimen/ちりめん Chirimen is the Japanese name for the fabric with crimps on the surface (often silk), typically used in kimonos.

  7. Chirimen/ちりめん The art of Chirimen transforms mere scraps of this textured crepe fabric into adorable, hand-sewn pouches and ornaments.

  8. Etegami/絵手紙 Etegamiis an intuitive, colorful folk art consisting of simple Sumi ink drawings paired with a few thoughtful words and watercolor, typically drawn on postcards or on Washi paper to be used as letters.
