  2. Why a community of practice? • This meeting brought together diverse people with varied knowledge • This group is unique in bringing together practitioners & the scientific community • We consider there is value continuing exchange in this (expanded group)

  3. Interest Groups • On ground practitioners of Scale-Up • Scientific community • Academia • UN Agencies • Inter-Governmental Agencies (incl International NGOs) • Private sector

  4. Additional Capacities Required: • Skills in managing community of practice • Socio-economics • Anthropology • History • Private enterprise & marketing • Education • Visionaries! • Young People

  5. Key ToR • Collate information & provide knowledge to Members • Contribute to policy analysis, formulation, advice and outreach • Identify major issues that require resolution

  6. Management (how might it be?) • Require resources • Mainly through computer networking • Creation of sub-groups, where necessary • Face to face meetings • UNDP DDC willing to coordinate, given resources
