  3. General Council FoR ISLAMIC banks and financial institutions CIBAFI The General Council is one of the 4 “I`s” International Islamic Infrastructure Institutions. It was established pursuant to a Royal Decree No. 23 issued on May 16, 2001. It is an affiliated organ to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation OIC. The General Council is the official umbrella for all Islamic financial institutions that comply their services and products with Islamic Shari'a and principles .The aim of the General Council is to develop the Islamic financial industry and protect it in various fields such as training and human resources development, information and financial analysis, consultancy and awareness.

In addition to the Advanced professional Diploma in Shari'a Auditing and the Advanced professional Diploma in Islamic Finance and the Mini master program in Islamic finance. • Consultancy Services.

  6. Information AND FINANCIAL ANALYSIS Center The Centre of information and financial analysis works on the basis of the financial statements for nearly 400 banks and Islamic financial institutions. It has a database of the most comprehensive information in the Islamic finance industry. This database is updated each year through access to financial and administrative information for each institution that is entered in a special software for each financial statement. On the basis of this database, the General Council issues an annual global and GCC directory containing the latest financial and administrative information for banks and Islamic Financial Institutions and Takaful companies. The information includes : - Management information, number of branches, number of workers and staff, BOD and the most important executive positions and Shari’a Boards. - Financial information for each institution such as the size of assets, capital, net profit and types of financing and other financial ratios and highlights for the last three years. - An overview on the economic and financial system of each country, central banks and other international institutions such as IMF.

International Islamic finance training center The center Aims at improving the capabilities of the staff of Islamic banking system, as well as all those who wish to enter the Islamic financial services industry in various countries around the world, by providing them with foundations and professional skills of sound information in their work and enabling them to know about Shari’a principles, knowledge of rules governing various banking applications. The first program launched by CIBAFI was the CIB Certified Islamic Banker Program , which is the basic certificate needed by every employee in the Islamic banking sector, wishing to join the Islamic Finance Industry.
