Hypotheses and Rationale Bivariate The respondents gender has an affect on their marital status. A larger percentage of the male respondents are married. Compared to the female respondents who have a larger percentage of respondents that are widowed, separated, and single. Sex of Respondent Marital Status
Hypotheses and Rationale Multivariate Hypotheses: The sex of the respondent has an affect on the marital status. Controlling for race has another affect on the marital status of the respondents. The black respondents have a larger percentage of respondents that are widowed, separated, or have never been married. The white respondents have a larger percentage of being married. Bivariate Graph & Discussion 59.8% of male respondents are married. 22.2% of the male respondents have never been married. 16.1% of the female respondents are divorced. 15.6% of the female respondents are widowed There is a larger amount of male respondents that are married than widowed, divorced, separated, or never married.
Multivariate Graph & Discussion0 61.1% of the married respondents are white males. 19.6% of black females are widowed. 15.7% of white females are divorced. 29.2% of black males have never been married. The white respondents are the largest percentages of the married respondents. .9% of the white male respondents are separated.
