If the verb ends in -gar the “yo”form chages to -gué. For example “Yo llegué”. If the verb ends in-car the “yo form changes to -qué. For example “Yo pactiqué”. If the verb ends in – zar the “yo” form changes to – cé. For example “Yo almorcé” All the forms are regular. -gar, -car, -zar ending verbs in the preterite.
