  8. Search for National Identity • The struggle for Identity has been a problem in Canada • Many people are more attached to their regional or ethnic group than being a Canadian citizen.

  17. Economic Links • Canada is the greatest purchaser of US exports and the US buy a tremendous amount of Canadian exports • 1992 NAFTA was approved and included Mexico in free trade agreement
