  2. There are two seasons in Kenya: Rainy season and Dry season. Rainy season happens twice per year. • The Equator goes directly through Kenya • Population: 41,070,934 (July 2011 estimated) • 85% Literacy rate • The highest point is Mount Kenya, a former volcano. The lowest point is the Indian Ocean.

  3. Diversity! There are over 40 regional languages in Kenya, and many different styles of folk music. Maasai Semi-Nomadic (Orutu) Luo (Nyatiti) Kikuyu, Capitol

  4. Contemporary Modern Kenyan music sounds a lot like some American styles. One popular band in Kenya is Sauti Sol, which plays music that sounds like R&B. Eric Wainainacreates persuasive music. MadTraxx is a popular rapper. Gospel music is an important part of Kenyan modern music. One popular song is “Kuna Dawa” by Esther Wahome. “Dawa” means medicine in Swahili. The most famous Kenyan song of all is “Jambo Bwana”
