Adversary(noun) • Definition: An opponent or enemy • Synonym: antagonist • Antonym: Ally • My Adversary was trying to kill me. He has been my rival for years.
Aplomb(noun) • Definition: Self-confident in a difficult situation • Synonym: balance • Antonym: Gaucheness • I was aplomb, as I shot the winning shot in the basketball game.
Apprehensive(adjective) • Definition: anxious or fearful; uneasy • Synonym: afraid • Antonym: calm • I was apprehensive to enter the dilapidated house. After a few minutes I got rid of my fear.
Fragrance(noun) • Definition: a sweet or pleasant odor; a scent • Synonym: aroma • Antonym: stench • A pleasant fragrance emanated from the person right in front of me. It smelled amazing.
