The Score • Transfer the totals for the exterior and the interior into the box on the lower left corner or the form. • Add these two numbers to get the Grand Total and record it at the bottom.
The Score • Transfer the Grand Total into the next column of boxes. • Transfer the number of cash registers into box #3. • Divide the Grand Total by the number of cash registers. • The resulting number is the store’s score.
The Score: • Use the grade ranges too see how this store compares with others in a national sample of retail tobacco outlets.
The Score: • Stores that have higher grades do better jobs of limiting the public’s exposure to retail tobacco. • Lower grades indicate that the store does not do a good job of protecting the community from tobacco advertising and products.
