Guiding Principles • Promote standardization across the Juvenile Justice field (from Law Enforcement to Corrections) • Open the door to tighter integration with Law Enforcement Agencies (LEA) • Increase sharing of data between juvenile justice practitioners (at the local, county and state level) • Leverage advancements in technology to benefit all parties
Current Environment • Bexar, Denton, Harris and Tarrant Counties Use Local Systems • State TJPC Provides Caseworker Software for 164 Counties • Dallas County Uses Both Local System (JIS) and Caseworker • No Data Sharing except through CUC JIS Initiative 4
