Sensual Cry – “After This” • Physical Statement of Agony • Hebrews 4:15 • For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.
Scriptural Cry – “To fulfill the Scripture” • Psalm 22:15a • …my strength is dried up like a potsherd, and my tongue sticks to my jaws; • Psalm 69:21b • …and for my thirst they gave me sour wine to drink.
Spiritual Cry • John 17:4-5 • 4 I glorified you on earth, having accomplished the work that you gave me to do. 5 And now, Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory that I had with you before the world existed.
Psalm 63:1a • O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; • Psalm 42:1-2 • As a deer pants for flowing streams,so pants my soul for you, O God.2 My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God?
For what do you thirst? How long will you thirst? Revelation 22:17 The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price.
John 4:14 “…but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
