  3. Introduction • We are doing this work to English, it was proposed by our teacher Alexandra Casimiro. • In this work we going to talk about some extreme sports. Abseiling and Parachuting.

  4. What is Abseiling ? • Abseiling, or rappelling as it is called by many mountaineers, is sliding down a rope under controlled conditions. The term comes from the German word "abseilen," which translates as "top rope down."

  5. Abseiling courses • Abseiling courses are usually combined with rock climbing and mountaineering. For those of you looking for a taster session, instructors will go through the techniques and safety measures, then all you need is the willingness to give it a go.

  6. What is Parachuting ? • Parachuting, also known as skydiving, is the action of exiting an aircraft and returning to earth with the aid of gravity while using a parachute to slow down during the final part of the descent. It may or may not involve a certain amount of free-fall, a time during which the parachute has not been deployed and the body gradually accelerates to terminal velocity.

  7. Parachuting • Parachutingis performed as a recreational activity and a competitive sport, as well as for the deployment of military personnel Airborne forces and occasionally forest firefighters.
