IT Governance 2005 Funding Committee Comments • “The governance process brings people together to influence the decision making process and allows the county to make better and more informed decisions.” • “That we are following one. That weight is given to aligning with the business objectives. This will evoke positive change over time.” • “Engaging both technical and management staff across a variety of program areas to review proposals that relate to the county strategic plan.” • “Trying to get people to look somewhat beyond the immediacy of their own world and apply ‘fresh eyes’ to other peoples' worlds is a valuable. So keep at it!”

IT Governance 2006 Changes • Making minor modifications to Business Case template and Technical & Peer Review forms – better alignment • All Sections of a Business Case to be submitted at once – by February 16th • Governance Funding Committee Reviews Business Cases 2x • Further automation of Business Case submissions
IT Governance 2006 Changes • Creation of a sub-committee to review ALL business cases submitted: • OSBM -- Chris Rose, Danny Alfonso • 2 staff from ETSD -- TBD • 2-3 IT Governance Funding Committee Volunteers
