Expectations at school… • Great attitude! High expectations = strong success Students will be involved with their learning • Behavior - school policies will apply. • Gradeswill be based on: 80% assessment; 20% homework/projects Homework will be rewarded! • Supplies for daily use: --Box of pencils --Glue sticks --Small scissors --Binder paper --2 composition books --2 clasp folders with pockets --Tissue
Expectations at home… • Homework will be assigned with each lesson to practice and reinforce math concepts. • Homework completion will be rewarded! How parents can help… • Build ahomework habit – choose a regular time, establish a location, keep it positive! • Student independence/ checking for completeness • The job is not finished until homework is safely in the backpack. • Backpack organization! • Monitor Parent VUE and teacher websites
