NTAC Math PrBL Breakout Session - Tuesday Geoff Krall | New Tech Math Coach
Please sit with like-content area Take a couple minutes to share the mathematical concept around which you’d like to build a PrBL Unit. Try to brainstorm some problem scenarios for the mathematical concept discussed.
Task: Unit Analysis Quadratics, two ways The given documents show a unit calendar for two different approaches to the mathematical topic of Quadratics employed by New Tech teachers. Take some time to analyze each approach via the unit calendar and discuss the following. Consider the following questions: What are the differences between the two approaches? What are the similarities between the two approaches? What are the unique benefits of each approach? What do these calendars tell us about key ingredients to a successful math unit?
