Safe – What are some ways to BE SAFE on the bus? • Sit forward with your back touching the seat • Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself • Listen to the directions from the driver or another adult • Walk inside the bus • Keep your personal belongings on your lab or on the floor under your seat

When you see the examples below I want you to tell me if these are ways to BE SAFE on the bus. • Lean forward in you seat and talk to the person in front of you • Walk quietly to the back of the bus and sit down • Leave your backpack in the aisle • Throw a cookie to your friend at the back of the bus

4. Responsible – What are some ways to BE RESPONSIBLE on the bus? • Talk quietly • Enter and exit quietly • Keep your backpack closed at all times – nothing comes out of your backpack on the bus • Take everything with you when you get off the bus

5. When you see the examples below I want you to tell me if these are ways to BE RESPONSIBLE on the bus. • Enter quietly and sit in the correct seat • Shout loudly to one of your friends in the back of the bus • Leave your jacket on the seat when you exit the bus • Poke a pencil into the bus seat

6. Respectful – What are some ways to BE RESPECTFUL on the bus? • Follow directions the first time they are given • Leave the area cleaner than you found it • Treat others the way you want to be treated • Move your body or belongings so another student can enter or exit more easily
