It was created by the best open-source experts from all over the world. Ubuntu is available in 24 languages and ready for download at any time. Ubuntu requires no licence fees, and many businesses use such operating systems because of its performance features, also keeping the business away from cost.
Operating system main page The operating system main page, also known as the Desktop, is a highly friendly user interface which can be used by many people around the world. In relation to Ubuntu 11.04, the Desktop is named Unity. In comparison to older versions of Ubuntu, Unity has updated, significant features. In future OS’s, and having replaced OS Gnome in terms of its popularity, Unity is praised for its more beautiful and simple interface. Not only is Unity made for computer OS, but also for other electrical devices, such as Smartphones and Tablets, which is compatible with touch gestures.
performance As Ubuntu 11.04 is a fairly new OS, released at the date April 28 of 2011, Ubuntu has received a patch which boosted the kernels performance, which has now been implemented into kernel 2.6.38. This kernel is now being used in Ubuntu 11.04. Users that will be upgrading to 11.04 or upgrading from Maverick can expect a great deal of improvements in the overall performance
Features Music Player Past OS has been using one of the most popular music players, known as Rhythmbox. As OS continuously updates through time, and 11.04 being released April 2011, its been implemented into Unity the new music player, Banshee Player. Reasons to its upgrades, it is because of its competition between other high end players such as iTunes, WMP, and even Amarok. Features in Banshee include Bookmarks, Amazon MP3 Store, Video Support, and Audiobooks. Office Continuing from past OS with Linux, Unity still continues to use OpenOffice. As part of the whole OS itself, OpenOffice is already built into the OS, like all other Linux OS. It is still free software, and is also still compatible with Microsoft Office. Internet Browser Firefox 4, being the latest version of Firefox released by Mozilla is also in-built within Linux OS, and is also free software. User Interface (UI) Its friendly user interface puts Linux OS on the top of the lists. Its beautiful, simple, and free OS gives users the ease to operate Linux OS.
