  4. Orientation • See schedule • Day 1 - Report to College Meeting in HOEC 102 at 3:30 p.m. - Escort student to HOEC 217 no later than 4:20 p.m. to complete the CSI • Day 2 - Report to HOEC 102 at 8:30 a.m.

  8. Advising concerns • Exemption from ENGL 1013 and 1023 • Courses with a 199T designation can not be approved for Core Classes • Degree audit appointments

  9. Why do we depend so much on the advising relationship? • Advising is a process in which advisor and advisee enter a dynamic relationship respectful of the student's concerns. Ideally, the advisor serves as teacher and guide in an interactive partnership aimed at enhancing the student's self-awareness and fulfillment. O'Banion, T. (1972). An academic advising model.
