  1. Have Daniel’s Prophecies Come True? The Book of Daniel

  2. Let’s Say I Meet a Prophet Who Says… • “You will meet someone tomorrow” • “She’ll be a hottie…” • “She’ll be a little weird…” • “It will occur at 4:00 PM” • “She won’t compete with Darlene.” • “She will give you some ideas…” • Etc., etc., etc…

  3. Facts From Daniel So Far: • Israel will be re-gathered as a nation. • 10-Nation “Revived Roman Empire”. • Great Ruler Emerges: “The Beast” • World unites under his leadership.

  4. Is It Plausible for Ancient Nations to Disappear, Then Reappear? Israel? A Revived Roman Empire?

  5. Isaiah 11:11 In that day the Lord will reach out his hand a second time to bring back the remnant of his people— those who remain in Assyria and northern Egypt; in southern Egypt, Ethiopia, and Elam; in Babylonia, Hamath, and all the distant coastlands.

  6. Ezekiel 37:1-3 1 The LORD took hold of me, and I was carried away by the Spirit of the LORD to a valley filled with bones. 2 He led me all around among the bones that covered the valley floor. They were scattered everywhere across the ground and were completely dried out. Then he asked me, “Son of man, can these bones become living people again?” “O Sovereign LORD,” I replied, “you alone know the answer to that.”

  7. Ezekiel 37:4-6 4 Then he said to me, “Speak a prophetic message to these bones and say, ‘Dry bones, listen to the word of the LORD! 5 This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Look! I am going to put breath into you and make you live again! 6 I will put flesh and muscles on you and cover you with skin. I will put breath into you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the LORD.’”

  8. Ezekiel 37:7-8 So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone. I looked, and tendons and flesh appeared on them and skin covered them, but there was no breath in them.

  9. Ezekiel 37:9-10 Then he said to me, “Speak a prophetic message to the winds, son of man. Speak a prophetic message and say, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Come, O breath, from the four winds! Breathe into these dead bodies so they may live again.’” So I spoke the message as he commanded me, and breath came into their bodies. They all came to life and stood up on their feet—a great army. Israel Regathered?

  10. Ezekiel 37:11-12 Then he said to me, “Son of man, these bones represent the people of Israel. They are saying, ‘We have become old, dry bones—all hope is gone. Our nation is finished.’ Therefore, prophesy to them and say, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: O my people, I will open your graves of exile and cause you to rise again. Then I will bring you back to the land of Israel.’

  11. Ezekiel 37:21 “I will gather the people of Israel from among the nations. I will bring them home to their own land from the places where they have been scattered.

  12. 2 Samuel 7:12-13 [To King David] “When your days are over and you rest with your fathers, I will raise up your offspring to succeed you…I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.” Ezekiel 37:24 “ ‘My servant David will be king over them, and they will all have one shepherd. They will follow my laws and be careful to keep my decrees.’ ” Context: The End of History as we know it.

  13. Luke 21:20-24 They will be killed by the sword or sent away as captives to all the nations of the world. And Jerusalem will be trampled down by the Gentiles until the period of the Gentiles comes to an end. “And there will be strange signs in the sun, moon, and stars. And here on earth the nations will be in turmoil, perplexed by the roaring seas and strange tides. People will be terrified at what they see coming upon the earth, for the powers in the heavens will be shaken.

  14. Biblical vs. Pseudo Prophecy At forty-five degrees the sky will burn, Fire to approach the great new city: In an instant a great scattered flame will leap up, when one will want to demand proof of the Normans. • Specific, not vague. • Straightforward. • Syntax, Context, Grammar • Makes a Deliberate Point. • Objective.

  15. Isaiah 44:6-7

  16. Is a One-World Government Plausible? How would someone gain control? Wouldn’t America & others resist?

  17. Globalization: A Peaceful Unification Rev. 17:12-13 “And the ten horns which you saw are ten kings, who have not yet received a kingdom, but they receive authority as kings with the beast for one hour. These have one purpose: they give their power and authority to the beast.” Rev. 13:3 “The whole world was astonished and followed the beast.”

  18. 10 Billion + 1999 1985 1975 1960 1930 1830 World Population in Billions The size of their army was 200 million mounted troops. I heard the number! Rev. 9:16 2000 BC 1000 BC 0 1000 AD

  19. Globalization: Ecological Pressures “Humans have destroyed more than 30 percent of the natural world since 1970…Consumption pressure has doubled in the past 25 years and continues to accelerate.” • “Living Planet Report” 1998 London, Cambridge, funded by the World Wide Fund for Nature, the New Economics Foundation, and the World Conservation Monitoring Center at Cambridge, England, reported in Columbus Dispatch, Oct. 6, 1998, p.4A.

  20. Globalization: Ecological Pressures “I think it is folly to expect science to pull a rabbit out of the hat in the 11th hour to solve the food production problem. The hunger and misery of millions will provoke a great global holocaust.” • Dr. Norman Borlaug, agricultural scientist at Univ. of Minnesota, winner Nobel Peace Prize, op. cit. “1/3rd Animal Life Threatened with Extinction” “None of the 21 goals [set 10 years ago by the U.N.] has been met. Not one.”

  21. 925 Million

  22. Globalization: Ecological Pressures • Erosion of Irrigated Land • Desertification of arable lands. • Depletion of fresh water resources. • Carbon dioxide emissions. • World fish catch fully exploited & declining. • Ozone depletion.

  23. Globalization: Economy “The emergence of a full-blown global marketplace in which goods, money, and people flow easily back and forth across national borders around the world comes as a shock. Suddenly, the volume of world trade has reached staggering proportions.” Global Embrace, Corporate Challenges in a Transnational World, Henry Wendt, (New York: Harpers Business) 1993, p27

  24. Globalization: Economy It wasn't until '94 that banks could even operate across state borders; now they can operate across international borders with ease. According to United Nations data, “Today, the fifty largest financial corporations in the world represent well over one third of total world banking assets…Thirty-six of these fifty largest companies are headquartered in Europe.” Source: United Nations Conference on Trade and Development – World Investment Report 2009http://www.unctad.org/

  25. Globalization: Economy According to United Nations data, “Today, the fifty largest financial corporations in the world represent well over one third of total world banking assets…Thirty-six of these fifty largest companies are headquartered in Europe.” “While there may be no winners in the current economic crisis, there are losers, and among the big losers is support for American-style capitalism. This has consequences we’ll be living with for a long time to come.” Source: United Nations Conference on Trade and Development – World Investment Report 2009http://www.unctad.org/

  26. Globalization: Economy Britain’s Prime Minister

  27. Globalization: Economy (2/19/2011) The Group of 20, or G-20, is an international body that meets to discuss economic issues. Its members— 19 countries with some of the world's biggest industrial and emerging economies, plus the European Union— represent about 90 percent of the world's gross national product, 80 percent of world trade (including trade within the European Union) and two-thirds of the global population. The result of the [2009] G20 Summit seems to have flown under the radar for most Americans. A global plan was adopted that called for uniform regulations and bylaws that will be governed by the Financial Stability Board (FSB). This board includes representatives from all G20 countries… Whether or not they intend to keep their commitment, all the G20 members have agreed to put their important financial institutions, instruments, and markets under the authority of a single regulatory agency: the Financial Stability Board. (Jeremiah: “Economic Armageddon”, p. 66) The organization…has taken on a new prominence in the current economic crisis.

  29. Globalization: Economy “The leader of the one-world government of the Tribulation will need such organizations in order to control the economic lives of nations and their people.” (Jeremiah, Economic Armageddon, p. 66)

  30. Globalization: Technology

  31. Globalization: Technology It's one of those vast social upheavals that everyone understands but that hardly anyone notices, because it seems too ordinary: the long-predicted "cashless society" has quietly arrived, or nearly so; currency, coins and checks are receding as ways of doing everyday business; we've become Plastic Nation… If you visit the U.S. Bureau of Engraving and Printing …THE BUCK STARTS HERE, say signs on some printing presses. In reality, today's buck usually begins (and ends) as a mere data entry. This placid transformation is astonishing. Historically, the nature of money has been an explosive issue…The comparatively tranquil triumph of electronic money reflects its origins in technology, not politics. From 1999 to 2005, the number of card-swiping terminals nearly tripled to 6.8 million “…less than $400 billion in currency supports a $13 trillion economy.”

  32. Globalization Is Irresistible! Conditions Impossible, yet predicted 2,600 years ago Like Israel reappearing after 2,000 years!

  33. Globalization Is Irresistible! "So you also, when you see these things happening, recognize that the kingdom of God is near. Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away.” Luke 21:31-33 “Be on guard, so that your hearts will not be weighted down with dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of life, and that day will not come on you suddenly like a trap;” Luke 21:34 1 Tim. 2:4 He desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
