Bathrooms… How does it look when you are safe, respectful, and responsible in this area?
SAFE • Open doors cautiously • Use good hygiene practices • B building bathrooms OFF Limits at Lunch
RESPECTFUL • Use appropriate language and volume • Knock on stall doors before entering • Keep walls and stalls writing-free • Respect Privacy • Leave promptly
RESPONSIBLE • Keep area neat and clean • Use at appropriate time like lunch and passing periods • This is not a place for visiting. • Use C building bathrooms at lunch. • No cell phone use before of after school. • Report any problems to staff.
Reasons why expectations are important: • Restrooms will be clean for everyone. • Germs won’t be spread. • Privacy will be respected. • Learning time will not be lost. • Maintain pride in school property.
7th Grade BATHROOM ACTIVITY Lesson Back in classroom… • Discuss and list behaviors students have seen in bathrooms at NMS • Students will use info from notes, and discussion on behaviors…to write a “Bathroom Rap” about proper behavior and etiquette in the bathrooms at NMS…what does it look like to be Safe, Respectful, and Responsible?
