Description Setting Lightning cracked and flashed as it forked its fingers angrily across the sky. Below, the wild heath flared, like a blazing fire, under the jagged light, then settled back into semi-darkness whilst thunder rumbled and roared like a ravenous beast. From the east, a biting cruel wind bent and pushed wild, desperate trees as it violently howled and moaned across the violet moor. Through the swirling mist, three hunched figures – in their own spellbound thoughts - danced and circled. Why were they on the stormy heath? Macbeth and Banquo, close to a clearing, froze in fear. Rain lashed their faces viciously as they stared out across a desolate moor, awaiting the impending doom.
