(1) • MIS Formats • Wide discussions with all stakeholders • Key aspects of NRHM/RCH-II • Sent to States in August, 2006 • Key Health indicators integrated in November, 2006 • Flow of Data from States • Paper form – some through e-mail • Formats changed by states • Delayed • Only 25 States reported data on new form

(2) • Capacity Building on M&E • M&E Training included in IDHAP Trainings – Oct 2006 to April, 2007 • National Workshop on M&E and FM in May, 2007 • 3 Regional Workshops in July-December, 2007 • World Bank Study on Data Utilisation – June, 2008 • Multi-Dimensional Workshop on M&E – June, 2008 • HMIS, QA, AHS, Concurrent Evaluation, Triangulation • Clearing House on Information • Rationalisation of Formats • Detailed discussions with Programme Divisions • Several Iterations • Final Formats sent to States in September, 2008

(3) Information Technology interventions • Software vendor selected through tendering process • Data Warehousing Solution to be implemented • Web-based application developed in April, 2008 • Launch delayed due to rationalisation of formats • Data Centre: Blade Servers procured and installed at NIC, Delhi • Disaster Recovery: Servers installed at NIC, Hyderabad • Dedicated Web-site for HMIS http://nrhm-mis.nic.in • All State PrlSecy (HFW) and MD (NRHM) given dedicated e-mails
