  2. Economy Level Desktop • -All the parts that I chose for this general use computer were found on “pcpartspicker” and all the parts are sold by amazon Canada. This will make the shipping cheaper and come in a earlier fashion. • I only searched for parts with a 4/5 star rating and the grand total (Shipping included) came to 741$. 19 dollars under the budget. • In the presentation; I include the specs, a picture and a brief description of why I chose the product.

  4. AMD Athlon II X2 240 2.8GHz Dual-Core Processor -This CPU isn’t designed for gaming, but it nice for general use such as this economy level desktop. Decent speed, with two cores. Up to date for any Modern applications. I chose this for my CPU because it was nice on the budget and rated pretty highly. Also it will run smoothly for a desktop of it’s general use.

  5. Reviews from Newegg.ca: -As you can see, most of the reviews from newegg says that this part is a 4-5 star rated.

  6. Corsair H60 54.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler -Liquid cooling fan, highly efficient for extended use and eco-friendly. I picked this part for my cooling because it’s water-cooling and also cheap for the quality of the product.

  8. Asus M5A97 LE R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard -Decent motherboard with 32Gb of Max Memory with 4 memory slots. I chose this Motherboard for it’s stylish looks, cheap price And high rating plus efficiency. It’s compatible With all the other parts, which will not make Problems.

  10. Kingston HyperXBlu 2GB (1 x 2GB) DDR3-1600 Memory -2Gb memory system with a 1.65V. This model looks very nice and will serve efficiently for the general use that it needed of it. Not much else to say, it works.

  11. Corsair Builder 430W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply -I chose this power supply due to it’s highly efficient source of power and efficiency for the extended use of the desktop.

Kingston SSDNow V300 Series 60GB 2.5" Solid State Disk -I chose this part as my storage due to it’s moderate amount of storage for general use assignments and projects. not super high for storage, but it will do the job. Plus it was one of the highest rated with the lowest price that I could find.

  15. Cooler Master HAF XB EVO ATX Desktop Case -This case is very slim and compact for most desktop cases. All the parts should fit nicely due to it’s small quantity of parts contained inside. I chose this case because it’s popular and it’s size fits it’s function. Also it comes in black.

  17. Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (OEM) (64-bit) -I chose windows 7 as my operating system due to it’s standard reliability for general task, like word or PowerPoint. Also it’s compatible with the Macs in our school for students to send work to themselves from this desktop.

  19. LG GH24NS95 DVD/CD Writer -Standard optical drive for DVDs and CDs for our general use desktop. Decent use for both CD and DVD.

  21. Verdict: • In my personal opinion, I think this desktop is the way to go. I know my gaming computer didn’t live up to the expectations of the assignment, but I really think I hit it out of the park of this one. • Thank you Mr.Richards for giving us this fun and inventive assignment.
