  1. Step One: Access the SAP Portal by Enter NCID and Password in SAP Portal

  2. Step Two: Click on the My Data (ESS) tab Step Two: Click on the My Personal Data

  3. Step Four: Click on Tax Withholding Information Step Five: Choose the North Carolina Tax list and click Edit.

  4. Verify that you are updating North Carolina Tax. Please note: Exemptions will be changed to allowances as of 12/2013. Select your option status Enter the number of allowances here. Enter additional dollars you want withheld each paycheck here. Check the Declaration box. Ensure the date is 1/1/2014. Click Review to go to the next screen to save your changes. Step Six: Make changes as needed. Be sure to check the Declaration box AND ensure that the changes you have made are effective 1/1/2014. Click on Review when you are ready to continue

  5. Step Seven: Click on Save when you are ready to continue.

  6. You will see a Confirmation step page of the changes you have made.
