  2. Enter Queen’s Online using User ID and Password (provided at Registration). Then click “log in”.

  3. THE HOME PAGE – MY PDP Click on “PDP E-folio” Goals that are currently active You are now in the e-folio

  4. SETTING GOALS AND LOGGING ACHIEVEMENTS CLICK HERE AND FOLLOW THE STEPS THROUGH LOGGING “MY ACHIEVEMENTS” OR “SET A GOAL”

  5. The “My School” Page – Specific supports relevant to students in your School. Blue Hyperlinks Will take you To a range of Supports and Help exercises

  6. USING THE SKILL BUILDER WITHIN THE E-FOLIO 1. CLICK ON SKILLS BUILDER 2. TOOL A: CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD A BLANK ACTION PLAN IN WORD FORMAT (SAVE INTO PDP FOLDER ON COMPLETION) 3. TOOL B: If you wish to complete a skill self-assessment based on a set that you school has set up for you, click here.

  9. Tool B: Completing a self-assessment in Skills builder. Descriptor information from the Self-Assessment Click on down arrow and select appropriate score for performance in each skill/attribute Add relevant statement (evidence of strength or a target). Don’t forget to save.

  10. TOOL B: VIEWING THE ACTION PLAN YOU CAN ALSO USE THE BLUE ARROWS IN EXPLORER TO ALLOW YOU TO RETURN TO OVERALL SELF-ASSESSMENT SELECT ACTION PLAN

  11. TOOL B: THE ACTION PLAN EDITOR SELECT DOWNLOAD ACTION PLAN TO CONVERT TO WORD FORMAT SELECT TARGET YOU WISH TO EXPAND UPON OR EDIT

  12. TOOL B: EDITING AND EXPANDING DETAILS OF A TARGET WITHIN YOUR ACTION PLAN DON’T FORGET TO SAVE CHANGES

  13. The partially completed action plan – Downloaded as a Word document This can be saved on a memory stick , edited or e-mailed like any other Word document

  14. Completed self-audits to date are recorded in My Achievements and CV Note: Inputs you have made, such as achievements and the strengths that were evidenced in Skill Builder, have come through into CV Builder. You can start to build a draft CV by clicking here.

  15. The CV Builder continued At the bottom of the CV Builder page, you will find advice on CVs and an option to create a draft CV as an editable Word document

  16. E-MAIL SYSTEM Your e-folio may show an e-mail link to a Personal Tutor.

  17. Points to note about the e-folio • The e-folio/planner is technically secured within Queen’s Online. • You can share aspects of the e-folio (via e-mail) with a tutor/other member of staff if you wish to do so. No one else can see the content of your e-folio unless you elect to show it to them. • You are responsible for the maintaining the records within the e-folio/planner. • Usage rather than the content of your e-folio/planner is monitored by your School and the University.

The purpose of the e-folio • To support your development as an independent learner. • To allow you to take a longer term view of your experiences at Queen’s and develop a personal strategy for success. • To provide you with a personal record which links to the Queen’s database and can help you to, ultimately, build a CV/produce Job Applications. • To introduce you to the concepts of continuing professional development in your future life.
