  5. What is mentoring? • Being a caring adult and positive role model that provides support, advice, and friendship to a child. • Anyone can be a mentor. No special skills required!

  6. Who are the kids? • Every child can benefit from a friendship with a caring adult. Kids enrolled in our programs are from a wide variety of family dynamics and life circumstances.

  7. Youth Benefits Children with a positive adult influence in their lives are: • more likely to achieve high academic performance • more likely to participate in extracurricular school activities • less likely to have behaviour problems in school • less likely to be bullied or victimized
