  2. Status of Linux Cluster • 11 Linux pc’s loaded with Linux 7.2 • Node caps10 has D0RunII p11.08.00 installed and operational (ie, can analyze data and perform MC’s) • Took long time to get it going because of: • LTU Firewall • Crazy SAM Name Server issue Dick Greenwood OU Workshop

LTU Firewall • Presently Caps10 outside Firewall • But am almost certain that it will function ok inside the Firewall except for ports =>1024 for incoming TCP and UDP connections from: • d0mino.fnal.gov • d0ora1.fnal.gov • d0ora3.fnal.gov • d0ora4.fnal.gov • (see email to D0RACE from Thomas.Nunnemann@Physik.Uni-Muenchen.DE) Dick Greenwood OU Workshop

  4. SAM Name Server issue • Server Host Name is CASE SENSITIVE!!: caps10.phys.LaTech.edu (not caps10.phys.latech.edu ) • => Take care when specifying mount point, • ie, sam add disk --mount=caps10.phys.LaTech.edu:/…. • Thanks to Chris Jozwiak for finding this! Dick Greenwood OU Workshop

Present & Future • Submitted today DoE/EPSCOR LTU-Fermilab Partnership grant to fund Postdoc & Grad Student to work on D0RACE • Working with Mark Sosebee and student on SAM issues • Installing MC Farm and GLOBUS (Michael Wallis coordinating with Tomasz and Jae at UTA) • Purchased 120 GB Storage Disk for MC Farm Dick Greenwood OU Workshop
