Range of topics for articles • On these pages there are twenty ideas for a 300 – 400 word article needing: • A headline b) one or more photos from the day, or screenshots etc. • Once you have selected three choices – please e-mail them to mr.duncalfe@barming.kent.sch.uk and I will try to reply that day. If your first choice is available you will get that, then second then third. • Barming, Ditton and Brunswick House will not select a topic until next week (May 14th) to free up as many as possible choices for other schools. • Video conferences: If you still have the URL Lucy sent to you to take part in the conference – you can view the recording to listen again or check on your facts. (Please do not give out that URL for e-safety reasons. • Hopping: • The workshop itself • The video-conference • History of hopping using Pathe News from school: http://www.britishpathe.com/ search for hop picking in Kent. See also the help sheet on using Pathe News. • Blacksmith: • The workshop itself • Blacksmiths in Kent – ‘Google’ will provide some information and ‘Here’s History’ http://www.hereshistorykent.org.uk/index.cfm – use the Encyclopaedia and search for forge – with the photos from the day – it would create a good article. • Paper making: • The workshop itself. • History - http://www.hereshistorykent.org.uk/index.cfm provides information on a search in the Encyclopaedia for ‘paper’. ‘Google’ search ‘paper-making in Kent’ gives lots of links. • Meet the animals: • The museum website has information about the animals on its website in the ‘About Us: Adopt an Animal’ section: • Chickens, ducks etc. • Sheep and Cattle. • Video- conference
