  2. All Players should have the following things: • Tracking sheets: Record stock values and your own assets EVERY ROUND OF TRADING. • A pen or pencil • A calculator (can be shared with a partner) • $5000 in play money

  3. What you will see • Stock values for the day will be reported from this projector • Some news items may appear at the bottom of the slide – these items may or may not affect the prices of stocks the next day

  4. About the Brokers • All buying and selling of stocks will be done through the stock brokers • You may have to wait in line • You will tell the broker: • What stock you would like to buy or sell • How many shares you would like to buy or sell (NOT how much money)

  5. Deedee’s Tea Room • Will appear as DTR • Agricultural business growing tea for global distribution

  6. Old Gold Mine • Will appear as OGM • Mining company (risky stock) • Has had some success in the past but has gone many years without a new operation

  7. Stone Motor Company • Will appear as SMC • Automobile producer • Huge employer • Think Ford … but better ‘cause it has my name on it!

  8. Thorold Power • Will appear as ThP • Electricity producer for the region • Mostly hydroelectric

  9. I B Him • Will appear as IBH • Technology stock • Makes copiers and business hardware products • Has been around for over 80 years
