  1. Redirection via Supernatural Consequences Or How I Learned the Hard Way

  2. Objective To share my experiences with the hopes that it helps bring more Kingdom into your life by: • Focusing on Who gave us the authority. • Seeking God and using the gift He has given to its full potential.

  3. Season of the Serpent’s Storm • Emotional challenges • Physical challenges • No idea of what the plan could be • The storm seemed to be over and……. • The night that was really, really dark before the dawn—supernatural consequences • “The only time the Holy Spirit will lead you into conflict is when He’s already prepared you to win.”—Bill Johnson

  4. Seeking the Lord • Why? • What fueled this fire? • How is it similar to the other times of “supernatural consequences?” • How will I learn from this?

  5. Hmm….I thought I had this down.

  6. “Thy Kingdom Come…”How can my prayers and spiritual authority be more effective?

  7. I Can’t and Will No Longer Do This On My Own • Ephesians 6:13-18 (MSG) • 13-18 Be prepared. You’re up against far more than you can handle on your own. Take all the help you can get, every weapon God has issued, so that when it’s all over but the shouting you’ll still be on your feet. Truth, righteousness, peace, faith, and salvation are more than words. Learn how to apply them. You’ll need them throughout your life. God’s Word is an indispensable weapon. In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open. Keep each other’s spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out.

  8. Gear Up! • “When you, by the power of the Holy Spirit, determine to stand up against the forces of evil…. be sure of your personal, direct relationship with Christ. And invoke the authority of the only True Power to deliver, the Name of Jesus.” https://www.blueletterbible.org/Comm/pirolo_neal/pfb/pfb_05.cfm?a=1167009

  9. Recognize the Authority • Authority is a position given by Jesus Himself. A policeman carries a gun (power), but he also carries a badge (authority). The badge does (or should do) much more than the gun.

  10. Know Your “Kryptonite” Factor and Don’t Mess With the serpent • Praying in personal “will” • Allowing pride to interfere • Not understanding the context of scripture • Yielding to insecurities • Anger • Attitude—woe is me

  11. The Umbrella of Spiritual Authority • Children, relatives, family • Church friends • Those called to intercede for a bigger picture • How do you pray when the person really doesn’t want your prayers? • Needless Casualties of War—don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater!

  12. How Do I Use My Gifting? How does God talk to you? The Word, a song, a painting, nature, etc.

  13. Okay, God, I Will Try…. • Accident—not sure I want to share this one. • Angel with wings dream • Cracking off a shell • Strings around the person Do I stand firm enough on God’s Foundation to intercede into these pictures not “require” the edification that it worked?

  14. Foggy Night in the Cave • Trust vs. Discernment • “I will light your path.”

  15. God Has Promised to Listen Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don't try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God's voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he's the one who will keep you on track. “Victory” sometimes doesn’t look the way we have perceived it should.

  16. Nuggets from Bill Johnson • If you want the peace beyond understanding you must give up your right to understand. • Not understanding is OK. Restricting our spiritual life to what we understand is not. • The Lord sometimes offends our minds to get through to our hearts. • You can’t go in faith where you haven’t gone in intimacy.

  17. Identity Produces Action • It’s important to know who you are in Jesus, but….It’s more important to know Who He is.
