METHOD • To recruit volunteers who walk around in the town centre and the residential areas at night and during weekends. BACKGROUND • An increase in vandalism • Juveniles committing violent crimes • Gangs of young people creating disturbances • A lot of young people drinking alcohol “around town”.
OBJECTIVES * Reduce youth crime * Reduce graffiti and vandalism * Reduce disturbances from gangs of young people * Increase the feeling of security for inhabitants. IMPACT * The number of thefts has decreased * Inhabitants feel that there are fewer problems with gangs of young people who create trouble and disturb others.
