  3. Who Are the "Joneses"? LASIK, PRK, CK, among others, which are all performed bilaterally in the office. It’s now time for ICL to make the move into your OFFICE procedure room (not ASC anymore)

  4. How can intraocular surgery be performed in an office-based surgery suite?

AAAHC Facility and Environment Checklist • Section 8, con’t • Adequate lighting and ventilation are provided in all areas. • Facilities are clean and properly maintained. • Coved floors. • Non-flaking ceiling tiles. • Monthly cleaning of walls, ceilings and all other non-surgical surfaces. • Procedures minimize the sources and transmission of infections. • Procedures for proper identification, management, handling, transport, treatment, and disposition of hazardous materials and wastes whether solid, liquid or gas.

  8. Our Post-FDA Approval ICL Results • 49 eyes of 26 patients • Preop SE myopia -8.64 +/- 3.01 D • (range -3.5 D to -14.75 D) • ICL mean -6.4 +/- 1.1 D • All plano target • 3 months SE postop accuracy • +0.06 +/- 0.38 D (range +0.62 to -0.50 D)
