How does this work better than existing solar technology? 1st and 2nd generation solar technology process – one photon has enough energy to produce one electron Quantum dots can be blended and tuned to process the different wavelengths of infrared (IR), ultraviolet (UV) and the visible spectra of sunlight producing enough energy in a photon of sunlight to force multiple excitons to be released as solar current.
